Created as part of a commemorative woodland planting project, this wood comprises a diverse mix of native British tree species that continue to establish and mature, creating an evolving woodland landscape with strong visual appeal throughout the year.
Extending across approximately 60 acres, the woodland contains more than 25,000 trees including oak, hornbeam, field maple, silver birch and beech. The varied species and planting densities create a layered woodland environment with changing textures, colours and light conditions across the seasons.
The scale of the woodland provides excellent overhead canopy coverage and an immersive woodland atmosphere, while still allowing for a variety of sightlines, clearings and filming opportunities throughout the site. This combination makes it equally suited to intimate woodland scenes and larger landscape shots.
As the woodland continues to mature, it delivers an increasingly rich natural backdrop that can be combined with nearby parkland, meadows and countryside locations across the wider estate to achieve multiple looks within close proximity.
